Pediatric Immunizations
Learning Objectives

1. Recognize the importance of pediatric immunization in a community and the consequences of immunization refusal.
2. Identify the correct immunizations needed for children from birth to 18 years of age by using appropriate immunization schedules.
3. Identify conditions that would qualify as precautions or contraindications to immunizations in pediatric patients.
4. Discuss policies and procedures that allow for safe storage and administration of vaccines to children in a pharmacy setting.
5. Describe the mechanism for reporting vaccine adverse events to the appropriate regulatory agency.
