2018 Type 1 Diabetes: Updates in Treatment and Technology
Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the body changes that occur in type 1 diabetes.
2. List the symptoms and complications of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia.
3. Identify different insulin product and dosage forms.
4. Explain how insulin should be stored and handled.
5. Discuss the benefits of technology in type 1 diabetes including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems.
