Dr. Thakar is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences at Roosevelt University College of Science, Health, and Pharmacy. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy in 2012. Dr. Thakar has nearly eighteen years of community pharmacy experience with a focus on non-sterile compounding. He received recognition as Faculty of the Year and Distinguished Faculty awards from Roosevelt University. Dr. Thakar currently teaches pharmaceutical calculations, pharmacokinetics, and sterile compounding
at Roosevelt University. In addition, he serves as an APPE preceptor in academia, as well as a mentor for students and graduates in preparation of the NAPLEX.
